In 1959, Keith and David Swanson opened the Swanson's store. Then in 1966, The Swanson brothers store burned, and a new store was built. There are four Swanson stores in Bethel: Swanson's Grocery, Swanson's Hardware, Swanson's Marina, and Swanson's furniture.
